I hope to be there but it is a long way from here, anyway this is the best shoot I ever attended.
Hope you can make it Felix, haven't seen you in a while.
See you there Mark! Looking forward to it

We'll be there again this year. Great time!!
Cant wait! Best shoot in the country!
I need to make this shoot! My son lives in Denver, so I already kind of have a built in kitchen pass! I've never heard anything but good about this shoot!

This one needs to go on everyone's yearly calendar of events or at least on everyone's bucket list. I've shot in many 3D shoots and this one is the best I've seen. Seven courses of 3D animals set up in real elk habitat. Two years ago when I woke up Saturday early morning and emerged from my tent there was a medium sized herd of elk grazing 100 yards away. It doesn't get more authentic than that. 600 bowhunters, awesome vendors and fun activities for the whole family, especially the kids.
Do you guys do any kind of a TG get together?
There has never been anything formal but I think it would be worth a try just to put some faces to handles. It is hard finding a good time to do it. Maybe first thing in the morning before everyone heads off in different directions? Any ideas?
A sunrise coffee klatch?
Getting up early. All part of getting ready for opener. :)
Coffee with my fellow TradGangers is a good idea. Maybe Saturday morning at 8:00 am in the center of the vendor area?
I have to get the CTAS store open at 8:00 so meet at the store or 7:30?
If coffee is sold at the CTAS store then it makes sense to meet there at 8:00 AM.
Sounds good! I'll be there and I'm in!
I usually have a small sign in my camp w/ the TradGang logo and my handle. I don't see any reason I won't make it. Anybody coming through Denver on their way, feel free to send me a PM / e-mail and we'll see what works out.

I'm planning on bringing my family from MN. It will be our first time attending this shoot.
Felix: I will hold a place by the fire for you. We can plan our elk hunt for this year.

The work is picking up as the shoot nears. Won't be long. Picked up the shirts today and made them a little different this year they turned out good. Going to be a good time.
I may need a new shirt!

Looks like a fire ban this year, spread the word.
Is the location and venue on the FB page? I checked the website and can't locate any info.
Info is on the website

Thank You, we may make it if I survive trip to Chicago this weekend
I really want to make it to this shoot sometime, I've heard over and over how awesome it is. Bummer that it lands on the same weekend as our UBM Rendezvous.
All right almost here the blanket trade this year will be awesome.... I cleaned out my shop....lookout----------have enough to equip a small army,,,,,,, bows, arrows, quivers, hunting gear, books, maybe a few surprises ? This may set a new standard for blanket trade? :shaka:
Thanks for the heads up Mark. Hope there's no closures up that way
I'm making it for the first time this year and very excited to check it out. Is there a list of sponsors/vendors anywhere or is it pretty informal?

As far as I know there's no list, Dryad has been there the two times I've been, I think Holm Made is going to be there but he said he might not have much left as he was going to the other big shoots prior to this one, rmsgear will be there. There's at least a couple more regulars that I can't remember the name of.
I'll be there with my girlfriend... we will be coming from Maine and camping with fellow trad gang member Michae Arnette !!!
I'm looking forward to seeing you all and shooting the awesome course !!
Oh no, Michael Arnette is coming again. :biglaugh: There is not a formal vendor list. Two vendors already showed up as of yesterday. The ranges are laid out and ready for targets. Much help is needed over the next two days to get things set up. Getting targets out starts between 8and 9 on Thursday morning, any help is appreciated and those that help set up get to shoot on Thursday. Bugs aren't too bad. NO FIRES, fire ban is in place. No kitchen this year so be prepared for food. We are supposed to have two food vendors, hopefully they show up. I am headed back up tomorrow for the duration, see you up there.
Trad Gang member Meet & Greet for coffee Saturday morning at 8:00 AM at the CTAS store. See you there.
It was another great shoot. Anybody have any pics to post?
I attend every year and this year's High Country Shoot didn't disappoint. A big thank you goes out to all of the volunteers for all of their hard work. 560 registered shooters. Extremely well organized event. I enjoyed the food truck and ice cream social this year.
Sorry I didn't take any photos- too busy shooting the many well laid-out courses. I met up with a few Trad Gang members for coffee Saturday morning. Nice to associate a face with a name now.
A huge shout-out to the board and volunteers for the countless hours of work they put into this years shoot. Another great time was had by all. Now, how did I miss coffee on Saturday morning sitting at the registration desk?
