Jeff,
Yes, Imgur works however we need to remember why Imgur came to be the posting system of choice. Photobucket had Trad Gang in a strangle-hold....and won! As a result, we now have HUGE deficit in critical images associated with group and individual hunts such as Solana.
The image posting here in the new House is actually easier than generating a BB Code link to post with Imgur. Please take a moment to learn to do it with our own system. In the past three days many, many of the gang have posted pics by themselves for the first time...You can do it!!

You posted a thumbnail picture, which is fine.
After you select your picture from your PC or phone, just to the right of the little window where the picture name appears, click ( Insert Attachment 1 ). That will make the picture full size in your post.

I'm still playing with getting on MAC photos trying to streamline the process
Took this last week or so ago. A hemlock log left from the virgin cut. It's about 50' long and 3' diameter. I would guess 1880s-1900. I wonder why they left it. Did it crack when dropped? Was is quitting time and they never got back to it? Maybe a snow storm shut them down for the winter. There is an excessive amount of old railroad beds on the hillside. Something must have made logging this hollow difficult.

Good the Imgur codes work because my phone pics are too large to attach directly.
Yes Imgur works.
Only problem is if Imgur pulls the same crap as Photobucket did, or just folds up shop, then your pictures are gone in here..
Cell phones talk huge megapixel pictures for some reason.
I went into my phones camera settings and lowered the size pictures it takes.

Thanks for driving home that point Roy!

Its actually more difficult to generate an Imgur link than doing a direct post with our own internal system. Seems that the only stickler is the excessive file size of some pics directly from cameras.
In the past I have saved some of these huge files to my PC desktop, then, with a right-click opened them in Microsoft Image Editor and easily chose my desired size from the "edit" options.
Another option for cellphones (this is what I use), is to download the Tapatalk app. You can pick the size pic you want to post (I always pick 640x480) and post it in the thread without changing the original pic on your phone.

Bisch...thats cool!
Time for me to get outta the stoneage
Gonna try that one...even if it kills me... LOL

You have to get used to a different look, but that's easy in this case, because it's all new anyway. I already use Tapatalk for another forum, so this is super easy for me. If you do download the app, it's best to get the Tapatalk Pro version so you don't have to deal with ads. When I got it, it was cheap, like $2.99.

tapatalk is almost essential for smartphones, and not just for helping with image posting but for overall forum usage.

What is the proper size to change them to?

I resize all mine to 640x480, and they seem to be the perfect size in a post.
