Just shy of two years hunting with the first osage bow I ever made, finally on the Dec 11th, with about half hour to go I finally harvested my first primitive deer. By far my favorite hunt to date. This is why we hunt. (http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad129/wdigby71/IMG_0248_zpsbs4qd6y8.jpg) (http://s928.photobucket.com/user/wdigby71/media/IMG_0248_zpsbs4qd6y8.jpg.html)

Congrats! Nothing like taking one with your own equipment! Beautiful work by the way.
You are my hero! I'll be trying for my first primitive harvest with the rest of season
Truly a cool feat. Great looking bow!

Thanks for all the compliments. I learn a lot from everyone on here.
I actually fleshed the hide and have it drying so I can make a Saxton Pope style quiver. Figure that would be a better reminder of the hunt than a mount would.
Congratulations!! Very nice looking bow!
Congrats, that's one you will remember.
Has to be a great feeling i bet. Your persistence and hard work is what makes trad hunting so great. :goldtooth:
