Nice! Will those plans be available on your website at some point?
now that last pic is the kicker
that's awesome
I have to do some testing first before making a plan on it. See what draw length it will handle and if it performs decent.
Then draw up plan and get printed. So it will be a bit if it checks out.
Sweet.
The first two photos remind me of the ancient Egyptian Angular bow.
I prefer it that way, without all the palm-filling ergonomic stuff on the belly side. It should work just fine without that stuff, which would make me want to buy such a bow.
What's the length and draw weight going to end up?
Im really, really liking that one kenny let us know how it works out, Im down for plans & templet ?
It is 54.35 @28" and 60" ntn
Ran her thru chrony , think it is a keeper
Here is 28" draw
Shot thru chrony at 28" measured on shooting machine
545 grain arrow -10.03 gpp - 186 FPS
454 grain arrow - 8.35 gpp - 194 FPS
Using fingers release will lose 4-5 FPS
What's your BH on that one Kenny?
Brace with shop string is 7.25 , felt ok shooting but I'm pretty insensitive , or so I've been told....
Shot more on machine than with fingers too. Got to get grip finished roughing in and some arrows that are actually tuned to it.
wow- thats awesome- how does that compare to your std bow Kenny.
seems to me its a bit faster!!
I think it is pretty much same as the shorter bow and the 64" modified, all running in mid 180s with what I call a hunting weight arrow .
But I would bet this one has a better string angle for its length I like the Egyptian compsite bow brace profile look ,that is a slick looking bow kenny !
what do you call the "64" modified"?
That looks epic cool Kenny. Love it!
I built a bow some time back on the 64" plan and added 1" more reflex in the last 11" . Made 5fps and 5 more lb with same stack .
I intended to do a DFC but sanded it and sprayed it so it has to wait...
Thanks, guys!!
That is a beauty Kenny!!! :notworthy:
Dave.
Looking good! Love the forward handle bows!

Dave.
Purty nice....
I knew thats what it looked like.
WOW!!!
that is awesome
DFC ?
Draw force curves..
It's a fancy chart them gwass boys play wif.. :)
Thanks Roy I was trying to tell him Im anxiously awaiting it ...lol I bet with those sweeped back limbs its good at long draws for a 60 in. bow ?
It's probably ok.. I dunno. :)
Wasn't there a printable chart somewhere? I can't find it.....

Ok so here is a question is that chart applicable to Kennys current bow ? Because it looks like it barely is starting to stack at 31 in. draw which is great but Im curious of what effect if any the sweeped back style limbs have on string angle , finger pinch with shorter bows doesent bother me much I have bows 62 in. to 70 in. but would like to build a 60 in. bow after the 64 in. is done I have always had a fascination with short bows for tight blind hunting ?
I'll find some graph paper..... I was hoping there was an easy printable one.
No hurry Kenny just curious !
Ok, I am deciding what to do to the swap victim today.
If you have excel in your pc your can make one.
Download a FDC spreadsheet here

There is a newer version somewhere but I don't know where.
Galen, rest his soul used this one.
Bro came over to shoot it yesterday. First shot , he said " man that shoots em hard, they really hit the target hard. "
He liked it a lot but was wanting to know if I could put the extra palm swell on like our hunting bows.... just the grip he likes .
And I have a dfc chart made but not filled out... ;)
Nice Kenny - I like that style of bow. I have a design similar, but I think yours is a bit more forward in the handle. They will zip an arrow.
How fast is it zipping them ????
10.03 gpp was 186 on machine, take off 4-5 FPS for fingers
Sorry I forgot you all ready posted those ,bet it would be in the 190s at my draw ! Above all that its just a really cool looking bow !
OK, did the DFC to best I could . Put her on the shooting machine clamped to bench so I could pull steady. Had a marked arrow in inches, clothespin on front to draw til it touched back of bow.
Last couple I had to put a fender washer behind point for a stop as the arrow was only 31" , then found a 32" one and did the same.
Would have been better if I'd had a lovely assistant to watch the marks maybe, but here is what I got.
You tell me if it's good, I've never worried about DFC , only NSQ ....
Nice, smooth,quiet LOL

So it appears no stacking to 32" at least , correct?
I knew that bow would have a flat curve thats awsome barley stacking at 31 in wow you knocked that one out of the park for a 60 in . Bow
That looks great! Love to make one. Haven't built a bow in a while but this FDC makes me want to get back in it. Thanks, Kenny.

Those are great numbers on speed and the DFC.
A very good design.
Hmmm, I didn't know what I had, just that I liked it! LOL

Nice, Kenny.
I'm gonna mess around and buy one of them one day.
that is awesome- exactly what i need for my 31.5" draw.
I like the looks of that one Kenny. How long is your riser? It looks like a pretty tight radius on the front of the riser. Any trouble getting the lam to bend in the form?
I snapped a quick picture of one of mine - similar shape at brace - you definitely have a more forward handle.

Really great Kenny!
Thanks guys, Mitch , no probs , make my scarf joints on lams pretty long.
Thanks Kenny - I need to work on that - I have popped a few loose when put under the riser and start clamping them down.
Well, a .030 veneer has a joint 1/4" long. I don't know the angle, just clamp the jig on sander and grind em! LOL
I like it Kenny!! When are the plans going to be available??
