Well I cleaned up the stippling on my bow, sanded down to wood, taped it off, and sprayed 4 coats of black Performix plasti dip. It will need to cure for 24 hours before I will shoot the bow to see if it will hold up. Looks and feels good though.

I used the same product in clear on a bow and it wore off very quickly. But I did find a great use for what was left in the can. My LaCross boots with neopreme uppers were leaking. Spray several coats on the neopreme and no leaks now.

Thanks for the info James
I sprayed a butt pad I made for a rifle with bedliner. Staying well and has a rubbery sorta rough grip. Yours looks great Galen!
May try bedliner if this doesn't hold up
That looks great! Keep us updated on how well it holds up. We need to think of some more stuff for you to test out.
Maybe should be called "the bowyer's lab" instead of bench. :)
Your experimentation and follow up with the community is greatly appreciated!
It's fun for me, I just hope it helps others.
Very helpful stuff

I'll keep that in mind and see if it works on ferel cats LOL
How's the grip holding up?
So far OK but I've been busy getting ready to head to south Texas and haven' been shooting much. I'll probably try some bedliner when I get back.
