Has anybody used Bloodwood as a belly/compression laminate in an all wood laminate bow?
Thanks Bue--
Not in a bow but it is my favorite footing material for arrow shafts, heavy and tough as nails. On a grain scale I once weighed several footing materials in the blank form and bloodwood was the heaviest. It will make that laminated bow heavy in the hand but why not try.
Yes, very similar to Osage Orange, they are both in the Mulberry family. It makes a great belly wood and bends with heat just like Osage.
