Post by: Redonefive on May 10, 2016, 01:54:00 PM
What is the best paint to use on old solid glass bows? Ive stripped some handles from some old solid glass kids bows. going to paint them brown etc for wood look and give them leather wraps/rests... these will be for kids at our AMM rendezvous events.. otherwise i wouldnt worry about colors... Just curious the best prep and paint for doing this?... thanks... heres some of what i picked up..

I had a set clear glass limbs with so many streaks I painted them then shot finish, that was several years back and still look good.  I used Krylon also.

you can stain white glass with aniline dyes and go over with poly.

This was a white glass Bear Kodiak.
