Title: Mosaic Accents
Post by: bowhntineverythingnh03743 on May 09, 2016, 09:21:00 PM
Hey Guys, I have no way of making mosaic accents for my bows. Does anyone sell any? I am making a cocobolo and gaboon ebony bow and want to do some sort of mosaic for a different and high end look.

Anyone got any suggestions to help me out?

they are not really all that difficult to make. Two lots of contrasting pieces of wood one -say .250 wide another .75'' wide, cut to width required and glued together. i make mine about 1'' thick which allows about 4 strips when ripped length ways on the glued up blocks. Trimmed up on my lam grinder and then  I back each strip when cut to required thickness with core-tuff glass but phenolic can also be used.

Yeah that's my problem bob... I don't have the tools to make them so I would need to purchase them right now.

I could make you some but they would be coming from England. Your choice!
