Had anyone used it for a riser?
I sure like the look of it, and i have lots of it. I know its not the hardest wood.

A riser in what? and how? I like it better as a limb wood than a riser wood, but it might work under the right circumstances.

Do an I-beam with something else that is harder in the middle and you should be OK.

I love the look of black cherry under clear glass under the limbs.  It ages wonderfully.
