I'm out in the garage sketching out a new riser to get a set 65 lb takedown longbow limbs down to 55 lbs or lower. So I'm going to build another angle iron riser. It will be 21" end to end and will have adjustable limb pads so I can change the draw weight and tiller. I removed an angle iron frame that direct tv used to mount the dish on my sister-in-laws flat roof after she moved. So I am cutting it up for the material to build this with. Going to be fun. Here's a picture of the cad sketch side profile. I'll add pictures as I get it further along.

Here's the 16" zombie riser that this will resemble

Galen, you never cease to amaze me. I love the idea of adjustable limb pad angle, that would help with prototyping. I can't wait to see more.
That is quite ingenious!
Finally getting some work done on this. Sketched out the design and drilled holes along the lines then used my grinder to rough out the parts. Taking longer than I like as been fighting so health junk.

OMG... Not gonna say nuffen... :)
Wassa matta, Roy. Do you not see the possibilities here for a tri lam?
Yeah Roy make me some trilam takedown limbs for this.
Ok but I'll have to order some sheet metal and brazing rods to lam them together..
Yer making a star wars bow hain't cha Ben :)
Hey, Galen, this is your 2nd such Frakenbow, isn't it? This one should go better... once your health stuff gets ironed out!
Good luck, Pal!
LMAO Roy :notworthy:
