Man, I had my doubts but...I just finished a bow for a friend who wanted a longbow (like the rest of the cool kids), but really wanted a grip to match his old target recurve. A massive Browning (or something). This one. He also wanted it to be 68". My usual design is geared for 62-64".

Instead of a 15" riser, I made up a 17". Here is my usual vs this monster.

Here it is roughed out...

Massive is right on. That grip profile is really cool looking. Very nice
It came out great and was actually pretty fun to make. I kind of even like the high wrist grip. It was also my first bow with a thumb rest.

It is bocote and marblewood with wenge and holly accent stripes.
Fantastic work. Love that riser.
Great lookin bow Beach!!
Impressive Woodwork on that riser.. Outstanding.!
Thanks guys.
I have a couple of risers glued up that have marblewood and cocobolo. I think it might be the best all time combo. The marblewood looks like aged osage with colored wavy grain. Can't wait to make 'em up!
Beautiful workmanship and design.
Wow! An amazing amount of work went into that bow! Beautiful.
Awesome
Holy carp.
Beautiful!
Impressive stuff! :)
Fantastic workmanship right there!
X2.
Very nice!
Wow, that is fantastic man! Wonderful, I love the look!
Great looking unit.
If it shoots half as good as it looks, it will be a joy to use!
I'd be interested to know how you put the limbs together and how they are secured in place.
Lots of thought and craftsmanship there, very very well done!
