Title: Customize old recurve? (pics)
Post by: Trond on February 18, 2015, 02:23:00 AM
I don't know if this should have been in the bowyers section, but I trust the admins to tell me.
I have been thinking about my old take down recurve. I love those bows which have flush mounted limbs. Mine are kind of just riding on top of the riser. Is it possible to rebuild a riser to flush mount?

To maybe something like this...

Or would it weaken the riser too much?

I am a fan of the recessed limbs.
