Title: Kwick-it adhesive
Post by: Kopper1013 on June 20, 2014, 08:24:00 PM
Anyone use Kwick-it adhesive (thick) from binghams to glue on handle overlays? Got some in my last order and bottle has no instructions for use, specifically how
Much time do I have to move stuff around and cure times? Figure some of you have had to try this stuff and would have some knowledge or advise. Thanks!

I've used it before. You only have a couple of minutes to get stuff situated but cure time is as little as 20 minutes. It works well for tip overlays but I've found myself going back to smooth on for all of my overlays because it is easier to get a smooth transition from the glass to overlays and it is less prone to leaving gaps

I trust it more as far as durability goes as well

I concur. I have it in thick and thin viscocity but no longer use it for overlays and such... just repair work. I much prefer Smooth On for overlays, handle pieces, and well, everything else.

I will add my affirmation to the smooth on for overlays etc. I have actually had a nock overlay pop off using the Kwick-it. May have been my fault but I never have issues with smooth on.

I use super glue from Wally World, the black tubes that come 4 to a pack for $1.57. I can usually get 3 bows with tip and riser overlays out of a 4 pack, and have never had one come off (YET)
