This was my first and without the help from members here I would have never been able to do it. It's black glass with a purpleheart riser with a yellowheart I-beam. The tips are yellowheart and purpleheart. The overlay is the same with some white phenolic added.

The color scheme comes from being a fan of the Minnesota Vikings. This was basically a test bow before I made a bow for the Trad Gang bow swap so I thought I might as well try something a little fun. I learned a lot and found I have more to learn but, it was fun.
That looks great Ranger!! I'm working on my first glass bow as well. If it comes out half as good as yours I'll be happy!!
What the specs on that bad boy?
Thanks Mike. It's 62" ntn 44# @ 28"
That came out nice! The first bow I built had a Purple Heart riser... Go Vikings
Excellent job...I love the purpleheart!!!
Thanks guys! I really like the looks of purpleheart too! I can't get my phone to get the colors quite right either in sun or shade. The purpleheart looks even better in person.
Great job. I bet you are thinking about the next one already. Just a guess :knothead:
Good looking bow! The work of YOUR hands - can't beat that.
Looks good :clapper: ,and like beachbowhunter said bet you are thinking about the next one.Maybe green and gold colors. ;) :goldtooth:
I'll admit it's hard not to think of building more. I'm sure I will in time but there are too many things I need to do here around home. What I'm really looking forward to is no deadline and relaxing a little more while building. :)
As for the "green and gold" comment! They were my high school colors but I won't say what I'm really thinking. HaHa :biglaugh:
 :biglaugh:
Very nice..
Nice Job especially for your first. Joe
Very nice! I see ya making a lot more of them.
Very nice! Turned out great!
Very nice - I like it!
I guess it's Ok.. :)
That looks really good. Congrats! :clapper:
Nice job! Nothing quite like that "I made this" feeling when you hold it in your hand.

Then I got to page two! :biglaugh:

Good deal Scott. That looks great. Nice edges on your overlays. Looks like you done a great job
They are OK D. That is a part I struggled with. The pictures make them look better than they are. I can only hope to make some as good as the ones on the bow you sent me. They were perfect. :)
