So I am doing a HBH for my swap bow and wanted to heat treat the belly. My thought was to do as much shaping of the main part of the bow before any glue up and then glue the backing on. I am going to use TB111. Anyone see a problem with this.
As long as you heat treat before glue up you will be fine. Try pre-tillering the belly so you have a good, even bend, heat treat the belly and do your glue up with 3" to 4" of Perry reflex.
Thanks Pat,
How much will the reflex affect the tiller if I pre-tiller the belly for even bend.
With a good even bend it shouldn't affect the tiller much at all. It will add some draw weight though.
