I'm looking to buy a small piece (around 2"x2" or 2 smaller pieces) of thin phenolic material to make some laminated phenolic/hardwood limb tips for a fiberglass/wood laminated longbow. Preferably a brown/butterscotch color, but black or red will work.
Anyone got some they'd part with?
I did this on another longbow I've got, but I used a scrap of .030" fiberglass I had instead of phenolic. Used 1 layer of .030" fiberglass, and Brazilian Tigerwood (nice dense hardwood) on top of that. Is phenolic better than fiberglass for laminated limb tips?
I might be able to help you out if red will work. I will check my pile to see what I have left. I have just been using glass recently....it blends into the limb alot better than phenolic.
I have two pieces of phenolic left...one red and one black. Red is 2x2.5" and black is 2x3". Just let me know where to mail it.
I probably have some natural(tan )phenolic
in the bucket in shop if you want a pc of it.
