it draws very easily and smoothly for a 50# bow.

Very nice, Bobby...
Very nice as always.
Great looking bow, how is palm to work with, I was going to try some a while ago, think it was black palm if I remember correctly. I like that the grain is so coarse gives some really nice character, but I wussed out for fear of tear out and having to fill all the voids, but yours turned out really nice.
Great looking bow Big Bob!! Love the Red Palm

I have made a bow with Black Palm. It's not to bad to work with. A little tougher than some other woods but comes out beautiful when sealed and finished.
Very nice Bob! That red palm is awesome.
thanks guys! Carpin'mark red palm is a bit like wenge or similar in that it needs some 'grain' filling. I simply use superglue and watch the sanding direction, but its no big deal to handle. It sure does have a visual impact that makes any effort worth it.
Dang Bob that sweet. I love the woods you use in your bows. They always look awesome.
very nice bob

gotta agree with D- awesome woods and very sweet looking bows , as always.
Nice bow Bob
Nice job ther Bob! I love the look of the palm, is it pretty stout stuff?
It is indeed Kenny very hard and durable. Does need 'grain' filling as mentioned but well worth the effort.Bowyer over here just made an awesome 'curve and part of it was black palm belly veneers.Looks stunning.
The silica content in palm wood is really hard on bandsaw blades! Don't use your carbide blades on it, you'll have to get them sharpened right after!
Looking good as always Bob, but does one get red palms when handling the bow? :bigsmyl:
He de hah Bue! :archer2: Only if you hold them too tightly!Re the silica content Bivyhunter, it sure does but our black wattle is a lot worse. My blades groan before I even start to make a cut when doing them.
looking good bob!!
hey what do you use to fill grain?
I found this stuff-wondered if you have tried it?
it seems to be made down there----
