Title: spraying krystal

what psi do you set your spray guns.Do you sand between each coat? If so what do you clean the dust with.Any other helpful hints.

Using a HVLP gun 1.4 tip I set mine about 40 psi not thinned. If you thin it 20 % use less psi. I don't sand between coats. If your wood is filled good before spraying you can leave as is after spray or steel wool it depending on the look you want. You also turn the volume down and the pressure up to get a matte finish.

So wrong, but all I could think after I read the title was 'Yep, everytime I've eaten Krystals, I've spayed!'

Be careful thinning Krystal and stacking coat on top of coat. YOu can end up with a haze when the humidity goes up.
Best to spray un thinned. Ml campbell suggests sanding inbetween coats and limitiing the overall thickness.

ML Campbell says 3 coats only and sand with 220 between.  That's how I do it.
