Title: Texas ebony and pacific yew

52" Texas ebony/ pac yew riser with pac yew limbs. 49@27 piked down from 54" and 44@28.  Top full draw pic is 52" and bottom full draw is 54"

nice bow... and im super jealous of you guys with dry, solid ground to walk on.  4, 8"+ snows in one week.

Is "Texas Ebony" the actual breed or is it a name given to the wood and it stuck?

Right on that's all I've ever heard it referred to as. How is it to work with? I really like the colors, and it's not super pricey either.

It's can be somewhat tough on bandsaw blades and sandpaper but no more than Osage or something like that I don't think and it is pretty inexpensive for how hard it is to find in pieces big enough to work with

That is a sweet little shooter, great lines, whats that stuff on the ground all around you, we used to have it up here, but its been so long cant remember what its called!
