I saw on here where someone had a turkey feather for the backing on there bow, can you guys post the link to it? I have used the search option and cannot find it anywhere. Thanks so much
There was a thread about two years ago, but I couldn't find it.
If I remember correctly, the bow was coated with white glue, then the feathers were placed onto the back slightly overlapping each other. I don't remember too much more, but I know the feathers were from the turkey's breast and the bow looked really nice.

There was another thread that showed a close up and the whole back was covered.
It was very time consuming. But looked to be worth it.
I remember seeing it. Was it Pat B that did it? That's who comes to mind anyway. It may not have been him though. Maybe he will chime in.
Not me although I have thought about it. The first one I saw was made by Dirty Dan. He had it at the Tenn. Classic a few years ago. Dan used breast feathers on his.
That one Eric posted is the one I was talking about, it is a pheasant feather but I was thinking a turkey feather might work. thanks guys
Turkey's small feathers might work.
The one we were, referring to was breast feathers layered one on another. Was just like looking at the turkey's breast. Great colors.
The whole back of the bow was covered with iridescent feathers. It looked really good.
Too bad I didn't add it to my favorites. :(
Dave.
I remember seeing that too. But I think it was on Primitive Archers web page...
