I only cut a 1/4" out of the handle, built up the rest with a folded piece of thick leather and then covered the whole shelf with some thin leather I scavenged from one of my wife's old purses.

Seems to bend nicely, well done. Cannot see for sure, but looks like the corner between back and side is very sharp, should be rounded off a bit? Bue--.

The back is slightly rounded, but not as much as the belly
