Title: Belly Mounted TD Limbs
Post by: Jim Rocole on January 22, 2014, 11:03:00 AM
Those of you that mount your limbs on the belly of the bow I have what is probably a simple ?  Do you flip the wedge or not? I have been looking at several bowyers examples and have seen it both ways.

I typically reverse mine so the long side is against the pad. I have thought about switching it up though for a better looking riser to limb fade.  (http://i1336.photobucket.com/albums/o641/cengert74/Heartland%20Custom%20Longbows/IMG_20131224_125023_174_zpsc3fac8e9.jpg) (http://s1336.photobucket.com/user/cengert74/media/Heartland%20Custom%20Longbows/IMG_20131224_125023_174_zpsc3fac8e9.jpg.html)

Not to good of a picture but I put the short end against the riser. Don't really know why I choose that way I feel either way looks equally good.

thanks for the info gentlemen.  Yours were two of the examples I had looked at. I am kinda of leaning toward the long side away from the riser because of tying the limb into the riser and I am thinking a 12" riser. maybe I will do both and see which one shoots the best.
