Hey guys I have a couple questions I tried a couple searches i am sorry if this has been answered before I don't know if I am looking over something and this is silly but I am building a bend through handle 68 inch red oak board bow. I have it on a short string and everything looks good but can I take some off of the handle to make it narrower because the arrow kicks off to the left (I am right handed) obviously the arrow is off center so can I take enough wood off of the handles so it's straight most of the other build alongs I looked at seemed that they didn't remove much wood. I hope this makes sense

IMHO on a bendy I would not remove any if you already have it bending...i would try an arrow with less spine...and if you have the room at the nocks cheat the string Toward the shooting side

Okay I have plenty I just didn't know if that's what you were supposed to do, this is my first bendy and I kind of winged it will the limbs bend if I do that? Any other "bendy" advice would be great this was a kicks a giggles thing and if it came out light in weight I know a ten year old who would love it so I am kind of experimenting
And I meant limbs twist not bend
When you say "kicked to the left", do you mean, while the arrow is on the string it points to the left? Or that it flies or kicks to the left when shot?
Do not narrow a bendy handled bow in an attempt to get the arrow aligned closer to center. There is a very good chance it will break. Leave it as it is and use an arrow with a weaker spine so its paradox will take it around the bow and straight to the target.
The same thing goes for an arrow that 'kicks' left off of the bow when shot.... it's too stiff. Use a weaker-spined arrow.
I mean while th arrow is on the string it points left yes.
So is this just how you shoot bmd through bows? And would it be possible to glue on a handle cut in a shelf and drop the weight on it or would that not be advisable?
