1piece
3piece
Longbow or curve
Selfbow or tri lam
Light wood, dark or light wood and dark wood
WHAT SAY YOU?

3 piece Longbow with lots of contrast. :bigsmyl:
I would build a one piece take down:)
Light wood,
Dark wood,
White wood with some stain.
Straight grain,
Figured grain,
All grain is the same.
A straight stick,
A curved stick,
A two piece or maybe three.
As long as it's a bow
That someone made for me!
:bigsmyl:
WTF Roy??? :knothead: :biglaugh:
i think you gotta go back to work man.
way too much time on your hands for your twisted brain to sit and stew and ferment :D
i hope your good woman is not retired, and spending all her time at home ALONE with you...for her sake! if she was i would start a "roys ol'lady support group"
well... keep it up i guess- i always look for your posts anyway!
Well I'm not very picky at all. I appreciate the craftsmanship that is in every kind of bow BUT..lolol. If for some reason I was able to choose for this year I would like a selfbow most of all because that's the one style of bow that I do not have and have not made yet. The color and style doesn't. I most certainly wouldn't be disappointed with any of the other choices though. Ok I think I've managed to type a lot of words and not really answer the question..lol
LOL Wayne ole boy..
X'2 on what D said..
Well, as long as you're asking.... 3 piece longbow, light and dark wood.
Thanks ! :bigsmyl:
Dave.
No I won`t answer this sorry- maybe my builder usually does and planned something totally different and I don`t want him to doubt about his plan and bend him in worst case to another direction!
But I can say I usally build my own longbows, although I`m open to others, and shipping overseas is more easy for a shorter package...
`nough said^^
Whatever I receive will be wonderful. I'm not picky. d;^)
Heck, I'm good with any of em! Builder's choice!
There, that makes it easy , right? :D
I don't have a two or three piece but any bow will do.
I will be happy with whatever I receive, although I don't have a good Osage self or a tri lam. Maybe a selfy with flipped tips. Or glass is cool too, got a sweet one from Kenny last year.
Cory
i'm with kenny on this one, builders choice.
What I like about builders choice is seeing how they do it. And the craft they use building!!  :notworthy:
I'm Wiff him ^^^
Craft?!! Craft you say? And here I am building by the seat of my pants. :scared: Now I have to start over.
Dave.
I like to see the different process too.
Don't see many two piece bows. So I say two piece.
Ha Ha. Now I see that wasn't a choice. I like em all!!!
I'm with Kenny. They're all good.
I love' um all. A little partial to shorter bows. But I do love'um all. And horn, love the horn. Did I say I love it all.
I have been so focused on what i am building I haven't given thought to getting. I can say I don't remember seeing anything you guys have made that i didn't like so don't stress just have fun and build. I say that while I am stressing over my build. :scared:
Builder's choice for me as well. I just love traditional bows!!
yup builders choice.
Bob I got your name. How does a two piece take down PVC sound? :)

Shhhhh!!!! Zip it Roy. It's do to ask don't tell area.
Who knows I might change my mind and build a two piece instead of a three piece
I agree with Kenny....let the builder decide. That way, a little more of his personality goes into it. On the other hand, I'm a sucker for a two piece TD...and bamboo lams...and osage...and purpleheart...and white glass...and skins...and antler tips...and.........................
Builder choice for me- I'm thinking of trying to make a two piece TD... We will see.
The hardest part with the two piece was cutting a perfectly good bow in half. But big Jim has good vids on how to do it. I followed his
It's gotta be builder's choice for me, although preferrably something I don't have. Like a two piece? A sweet curve? A gnarly selfbow? Maybe a kickin' piece of PVC?
I gotta see more of these PVC bows. :scared:
Starting to wish I hadn't mentioned it:)
Builders choice here also.
Builder's choice...
goobersan,
Do a youtube search and you will see plenty of them.
I agree builders choice. I like what Kelly told me build what youknow but build it to the best of your ability.
I'm gonna make my builder work for it! :smileystooges: Just kidding. I'm really happy with anything the builder wants to try. So, builder's choice for me.
Honestly, I'm more focused on what I'm building for my recipient than on what I'm getting. This is more about the giving than recieving for me. The recieving part is really just a party bonus. :campfire:
what a co incidence Roy I got yours! How does a one piece with limbs made from Emu bones, Croc skin backing and string made from twisted gut fibers of hairy nose wombat sound? :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

hey that's what I wanted
:archer:
Hain't got one of those Bob, build it:)
Builders choice for me.
Builder choice, as long as it hits where I look every time, shoots through what ever I look at, and please work out all misses before it is sent.
not picky ;)
I want my guy to build what he is best at.

I'm best at building broken bows...be careful what you ask for
You're right Soy. I should have said I want him to build a bow from a design that has been successful in the past. Thanks for helping me clear that up. Whew!! ;)
First and foremost for me is builders choice!
I really have not seen one that I don't like, or would not like to own and shoot. Aside from the poorly contrasted and ugly color combos, but even some of those, in the right design, peak my interest. I like them all, but... If I could choose, it would be something that I don't already have.
In no particular order: Hill style- normal or reverse handle, a tri-lam, any selfbow, anything Osage, a static tip curve, short bows of any kind, any two piece, anything with skins, fancy veneers, not a huge fan of carbon backs (but in the right combo they look good), horse bows and the like, or anything my bowyer builds best or wants to build in the 44-53#@28" range, with 48-52# preferred.
Wow... Probly would've been easier to say that most of my bows are 58-60" d/r longbows. Lol. But I'd even love another one of those! As I said, bowyers choice.
I like unique One of a kind cool looking good shooting units....the sky is the limit...and sometimes less is more, is that as clear as mud??? :dunno:
