Title: R/D build
Post by: ny state land on December 28, 2013, 02:34:00 PM
I took some time these past few weeks to make a aggressive R/D form and bow. The design and prints came from KennyM. I tell you this bow will shoot with any 53# longbow out there and its quiet with out and string silencers! Here's some pics.

the prints and detail Kenny gives you are excellent!

here's the form. I use bicycle tire tubes and a clamp to hold the riser.

I ended up useing Walnut and Desert Camo mixed. I really like the way it looks together.

Nice job Stacy!!

How did the bands work for you? Haven't used them on this style of bow, but may be easier than a Hill if the riser ramps are less curved?

Figure you have done both, just wondering....

The bands worked fine, the harder thing about these type bows is getting the riser to fit the form. In my opinion the Hills bows are easier.
