Title: Brazilian Cherry??
Post by: Hill Hunter on December 22, 2013, 08:36:00 PM
anyone know anything about it?
I had several boards given to me, it is the heaviest wood I have found, light red, not color difference in the grain.
seems like it would be good riser wood,
anyone ever use it?

I've used it with great results.  Built a longbow using it as part of my riiser.

brazilian cherry makes a great backed bow as well.  one of my favorites is a hickory backed.  thin limbs and took no string set.  wish i still had it.  got a bamboo back one waited for tiller for about a year now.
