Hi folks, I bought a beautiful Damon Howatt Palomar target bow, about 1975 vintage, 64", 42#, with a massive multi-wood riser. BUT one limb is stiffer than the other as the string height-to-bow is visibly different on top and bottom limbs, and they measure different widths. Can anyone tell me some good repair bowyers that can re-tiller and set up this bow??
That may be a design feature, in which case it may not need repair. A lot of people tiller bows to where the top limb is weaker because it's supposed to work better for people who shoot three under and pull the string an inch or two above center.
I bet that is it - I know that DH would not have sold a bow like this unless it was done on purpose. Thanks much for the reply!!
