Title: Ice day bow
Post by: chackworth3 on December 10, 2013, 02:25:00 PM
Nothing better to do than build a new bow on an ice day!  This one is 56" 60@28 with coco and Texas ebony riser w/ pac yew and white phenolic accent, Pac yew veneers and a-boo core and p-lam.

Beautiful!!  I love that texas ebony/coco mix.  Where do you get your ebony if you don't mind me asking?  Nice work, awesome limb profile and bend, looks like it's super smooth at your 28" draw judging from the string angle, could probably pull it to 30 and it'd still be smooth!

I only draw about 26" but it will draw smooth out to at least 29. I get the ebony from Lloyd Stahl at texaswoodcrafts.net

Very nice bow. I really like that texas ebony. Is it very expensive?

It's not as expensive as I thought it would be. I think a 1.75x1.75x14 is around $40 or something like that

That is a nice looking bow!  Your target in the background looks about like the one I have - all shot up!
