Hello guys i need help .I buy this epoxy .
Two ways, the first is the ratio of 1:1 the other is 2:1.
At the instruction manual explains that when we use the 2:1 ratio improves the temperature resistance and improves physical properties. All this I ask because I bonding process performed at room temperature 24-48 hours . Basically this is a question for all bowyers who use this epoxy resin
When I do glue up's I always use the 1:1 ratio and have no problems so far... My 2 cents
I suggest posting this on the bowyers forum, alot of info there.
The glue should be cured by now.
LOL Charlie:)
So here is my take on this. There is alot more info on the site than just ratio, there are also heat profiles they suggest to get the best cure that probably none of us do. I measure mine by weight and because the specific gravity is not the same for both the 1:1 would be by volume. The weight is more like 54%A to 46%B. If you are not using heat as some dont I think anywhere between 1:1 and 2:1 would be fine and you would never see a difference unless you were doing destructive testing for failure with correct measuring of performance. I am currently using 60/40 ratio with heat on limbs and 50/50 on overlays ect.
Good luck.
