i have a bow which is working perfectly. no problem but lately i am itching to make it take down as big jim's method.
but the problem is the handle.
where do you think i should cut it to keep the handle strength?

any ideas? bow is about 170cm and almost 45lbs.
I tried one like Big Jim's the handle was thinner than yours a little. There wasn't enough wood and it broke.
With the shape of your handle and size I'll say it would probably not succeed .
By the time you remove enough to add the wraps it will be weak.
I agree with mac. You really need an off center ibeam the length of the riser to be safe.
ok guys.
thanks. i will consider again.
