Title: Glass Bow Book??
Post by: mjwhitby on October 22, 2013, 10:21:00 PM
Hey I'm wanting to start building laminated glass longbows and have too many questions to ask in a post. I have built self bows but never a laminate of any kind.So I was wandering what books or videos  you guys would suggest for a beginner.  I do own the bowers bibles 1-4 but they don't cover much on glass bow building. I think I'm gonna order the form template and plans from Kenny M for the 58/60" Deflex Reflex Longbow. Any advise is much appreciated.

Binghams DVD is supposed to be great, buildalongs on here and other sites cover a bunch for free.

Here is one...

you wont go wrong with Kenmny M for lams and supplies, plans or templates, Ive bought materials from Binghams, Old master crafters, and Kenny M and Kenny is the only one Id deal with again. As for videos Binghams how to videos are pretty good.

Ha funny you posted that link cause I've read it about ten times over the last few days! I'll probably be giving you a phone call in the very near future.

Jack Harrison's book "Traditional Bowyer: More Unnecessary Fun" is a wealth of knowledge on methods and theories of building laminated bows.
