First off, I would like to say thanks to all the bowyers valuable posts and build a longs. It helped a lot on my first build. As the 66" take down longbow is nearing completion, the more excited I get about adding it to my arsenal. Also torn between finishing it or getting in my tree stand. The woods are Ziricote and Myrtle with black phenolic. weighing in at 45lbs. @ 28.

It should be against the law to make such a fine bow on your first try. That is really cool! Good job.
I agree, Sam! My first was atrocious! Deer bacon, that is a great looking bow!
I'll like to session you top it!
Wow that's a beauty!!
Looks pretty darn good from here.
Thanks guys. Its not done but I'm already picking out woods for another. I hope to finish it this week. Need to finish my homemade footed arrows for it too. All my other arrows are for 55# plus bows.
That is a pretty bow! Nice work!
Nice job! Good looking bow!
get it in the TREE
Really good looking bow, judging from the profile I bet she is going to be quick. Nice job.
That's a great looking bow and sorry...I just don't believe that it was your first ;)
Those limbs are sweet!!
Great job, slick looking bow.
Very nice.
Beautiful lines on that one. Super nice veneers!
Wow thats a sweet 1st bow! I hope my 20th turns out that nice!
no no no... you can't do such a pretty bow for the first trial.
or ..
you already did... :D
Got some finish on her. Named it the Bloodhound because my bloodhound helped put the first ding on it  . Not mad at my dog cause you cant keep a bow mint unless you hang it on the wall. Shoots smooth and zips a arrow well for a low # bow.

WOW!! That bow is stunning. Nice job.
Nice veneers, what is that ?
Thats REALLY REALLY NICE!!
are you from outer space?
this is far most advanced for the first bow...
i am thinking of mine and feel ashamed....
Wow. What build along did you use? I havn't made a take down longbow but now I suddenly want one. Great job.
Robyn Hode I used a combination of the binghams materials plus countless hours on Tradgang looking at old posts. Also went to local trad shop and played with some bows for ideas. I didn't want to mess up some nice wood.
Swedisciple the veneers are myrtle.
Looking Goooood. Bue--.
