don't know what to call her. maybe heartbreak. had about 15 more pounds in mind for it... but it is what it is. sweet shooter though. probably the best finish job i have done yet.

That is a beauty! Would love to see a video of that being shot. Great job...
love it!. Very schmick indeed.
Nice job..
Thanks guys!
That is a great looking bow! Nice job on the handle and skins.
Man that's pretty sweet!
Good job, Eric.
Very nice, Eric. That's a looker for sure.
Sweet bow, Eric! Well done!
Fantastic job Eric! I love those flipped tips. Very sexy look. If I had to say one bad thing about it, it's that the tip overlays are a bit thick for me, but they seem to fit the bow nice.
Great job on the skins too!
Yup Joe, those tips look like beer bottle openers to me. LOL
:wavey:
That's a looker well done!
No reason to call it heartbreak..Light or not you should be very proud of it. Looks great
yeah my idea with the tips was to try and extend the recurves a bit and maybe gain an ounce of performance. dont think it did much but that was my intent.
outstanding...something for sure to be proud of...
very attractivce looking too...its amazing how much work goes into these things!
whats your next project?? of course there has to be one...
haha you bet there is! i been wanting to do a tri lam like ole Roy... and i will. just not sure if its next. the next month will be focused on getting ready for my first stickbow hunting season... and my Ohio trip. while in ohio im going to try to score a stash of wood. cant remember if i said this in this thread already but im considering trading my glass bow for staves and boards. it doesn't have that magic feel like a wood bow does to me. if i start a project during deer season its gonna go slow (not a bad thing). i really want to build a heavier bow.... 57-60 or so.... and built solely for performance and dependability .... no character for character's sake. solid no nonsense type. a bow for bigger game than deer if/when i get the chance.
What's this ole Roy crap, boy? :) LOL
Awesome Job, Eric
its a term of endearment..... ya know..... good ole roy. the more i think about it the more i think a tri lam might be next.
LOL, if ya need advice, just ask:)
you know i will! every.... little .... detail, will be asked about and overanalyzed and asked about again lol!
great looking bow SIR..you come a long way in a short time ..keep it up :)
Wow! That's great finish work.
Absolutely beautiful. I will just be happy to get something to hunt with that thing is a work of art.
Thanks for all the kind words every one. She IS pretty, I can't deny that. she's not perfect though, and no I am not beating up on myself one bit, but i know i made some mistakes and i had plenty of live and learn moments. my favorite thing about this bow is what it taught me. i don't think anyone could hope to get more out of their second selfbow than i got out of this one, so, in the words of my favorite tv personality... I'm happy happy happy! hope number three comes out better and teaches me more.
Very very nice Eric.
Careful where you lay it.
Might startle you...lol
Those tips are awesome.Put eyes on those tips and it will look like a real snake.Nice job
great looking bow!
Very nice. :clapper:
