Was finish sanding on my latest laminated glass bow and a sliver of glass lifted off. The sliver was off the edge of the upper limb on the back of the bow in the working part of the limb. The sliver was about .010 thk. Off of a .043 thk.lam. I used super glue to reattach the sliver. The repair looks good and I strung the bow and drew the bow to full draw multiple times with no lifting at the repair. My question is whether not this was a proper repair ? Do you think this repair will hold up? Is this a wall hanger?
Your repair sounds good, I would not hesitate to shoot the bow, just keep an eye on the repaired area.
Yeah that should be no problem. If it lifts again, you can trap the limbs to get rid of the problem area. You'll lose a couple pounds, but the problem will be eliminated.
