Hey fellas, encouraged by the big interest in my recent short bow discussion I`m asking you again about the following bow I`m on at the moment.
It`s grown in length due to a longer, heavier riser but with it`s 58" unstrung still within the 60th.
String stays off the limb at 8 1/2" as it`s supposed to but I`m about to loose patience for a clean finish
I`m looking forward for some kind words and friendly criticism to get the extra "patience-boost" I need to get the job at 100% done.
(at the end I post a link to another board with more pics and for those who can`t see any in here)

Thanks in advance friends!
sweet looking bow, and with that high a brace it should be pretty easy to shoot:).
I really, really like that bow! I shoot one with a giant brace height, and I find that shorter ones give so much string slap it cuts after a while. Also, that's an excellent combo of woods. What are they, btw?
Thanks guys!
Yes Caleb, smooth to shoot while hitting hard^^
The woods are satinwood and shedua in the riser and bubinga (african -not south american- rosewood called too, I think).
Very nice, Moe.
Nice! Have you got a full draw picture? That riser is wild looking.
Not jet David- I`ll take one later, but the baby tries to eat my cam when I set it on timetrigger so she`ll have to go to bed first...
Kids...the earth`s salt :D
Stop showing off! That bow is wicked cool. Bowyers like you make want to give up and start knitting or something. Really nice design and craftsmanship. Well done Moe
Sry Sire- it`s not finished at all (60/80 grit) :goldtooth:
But thank you guys!
As the kids are sleeping- beer for me draw for you^^

Hope you enjoy!
note:
The beer btw. is *Augustiner Hell* for sure one of munichs (and maybe world`s) top 5 lager!
Very nice, slightly more thickness taper might bring the string off the limbs at a slightly lower brace height. Looks great though.
Man...that is sweet Moe! It's amazing how a frosty beverage enhances one's patience and creativity. :)
WOW.................Very neat design and workmanship. Bet that thing will fling an arrow.

Very nice bow!
I agree with Little Ben. More taper or a Power lam to move the bend away from the riser would get you a lower brace height. Love your design and creative work!
How much taper do you have in the limbs currently?
I used a 2mm/m- same as 0,02"- but I`m thinking about 2" glass p-lam or 0,03" taper as well.
Btw. the riser design I came across last TG serverdowntime over an add- saw similar at "Brooks Bows"...
first it was planed like blacktailbows style^^
I guess it's Ok:)
Damn Roy when YOU guess it is OK then I`m sure it IS^^
Moem that makes me want to try something similar . Just love the lines and the wood choices, very very nice, it floats my boat!
Wuz talken bout dah beer, Moey...
Aaaw should have known...
If you ever come to Munich/Bavaria let me know- brewery tour would be funny for sure ;)
Yup we could walk in and get wheeled out.. LMAO
Very nice bow, really like the design
Man, that is the coolest design I have seen for a short bow! The shelves at the limb butts on the back of the bow set it apart from all others. The overlay work is exceptional! No doubt it is an original. I really love that design. looks like string angles are pretty low at full draw. bet its very smooth. If you like the FD curve and performance I wouldn't change a thing. If you don't, the tweaks mentioned here would be worth trying. If you do decide to tinker with the design the tips are plenty stiff to add more thickness taper and a power lam and still not have to worry about whip tiller.

Looking good. I like the undercut at the base of the limbs
Thank you guys- although you make me turn a little reddish your feedback shows I`m not on the wrong track at all...
That's a beauty Moe!
