Title: Game Master Jet -Questions
Post by: Firstlight on June 19, 2013, 12:32:00 PM
Not sure where to post this so here goes.

I have a Jack Howard Game Master Jet; 40#  @ 28 that I want to tune up and am using Stu's dynamic Calculator for Arrow selection.

My Questions:

1. Did he use a polyester string?  I have two originals?

2.  Any idea how far the string is off center or the best way to determine this?  +1/16 or +1/8, etc...  I guess this in part depends on my side strike plate...?

3.  His suggested nocking point placement?

I see brace height is 6 1/8 - 6 3/4 from string to bottom of grip.

I wish I had a copy of his instructions which came with bows so if you know where I can find it please let me know.

Any other suggestions are welcome.  Thank  you!!

Sorry I can't help you with any of questions.  You might post on the powwow see threads on Howard bows from time to time.  You sir a lucky individual to own that bow always wanted one.  Sure wish it were me asking the questions as I would be the owner LOL.

I would post this on Pow Wow and one of the "Jack Howard Guys" like Kelly, Ryan, Charlie or others will probably know. I have the paperwork at home and will try to bring it in tonight if they don't respond.

Thank you, I appreciate your comments.

Kyle, that would be great on the paperwork if it comes to it.

And Jess, I hear you.  It was a fluke how I came into the bow several years back and I'm grateful to have such a pleasant shooting bow.  Basically a guy I knew had it made for him and switched to shooting longbows only and sold it to me.

I never tuned it up and I want to start over with it.  Bare shaft, paper test, really fine tune it and use it for hunting black tail.
