Well black in name of the woods only!
Black Locust and Black Walnut that is.
It even has black marcita on the limb tips.
Every since I scored on that load of black locust I've been asked several times how it looks under clear glass.
Well, here you go..

That checkered(?) grip looks awesome and of course I like the color and grain of that wood- here black locus is common mostly for selfbows or sometimes BBBL; really don`t know why....
Sharp
Moe,
The stippling on the grip really helps when wearing gloves in the winter, but for me it's better in the summer when my hands sweat while shooting.
Don't you know anything that can be used in a selfbow or backed bow, always works better under glass? :bigsmyl:
Troy
Nice yellow wood and a good looking bow too.
That is a very nice bow for sure! Looks good
Troy,
The profile/design of your bows just screams FAST, great job.

Sinew for example? :D
nice work Troy!
I guess ifin ya can't make a real bow out of wood, then put glass on it...
Ahhhhh! come on "Minus T", it's time to move into the 21st century... :bigsmyl:
That a beauty Troy :clapper: got to say I like those stippled grips....
Great looking job. I've always liked black locust. I built a walnut, locust bow a few years back. It makes a very pretty and light bow to carry. Again great looking bow.
A great looking bow. I've used black locust in the past and it's a great bow wood!
Nice looking bow. You got a ton of hook in those limbs--Fast??
Stic,
For me it seems plenty fast. I shoot 800gr arrows and at 30 yds there doesn't seem to be much of an arc in the arrow.
Troy
Beautiful all the way around, great lines!

,Nice. the wood looks a lot like flat sawn sage but not as dark. That is a really great looking bow design you got going there Bro. Very nice.
God bless, steve

Great lookin' bow, Troy!
