Title: Need Material Source For Traditional Hair Rest & Leather Side Plate
Post by: Erwincm on April 20, 2013, 12:54:00 PM
Finishing up a homemade recurve & would like to make a custom shaped leather side plate & hair rest. Does anyone know where you can purchase these materials with adhesive backing? If not, how about just the raw materials that I could adhere myself? I'm new to archery and do not know what type hair and leather is typically used or if it even matters.

Thanks,

3Rivers. I use their adhesive backed leather to make side plates and rests. I think it is a 4"x6" piece? And is very thin..It lasts a long time, I have it on at least 10 bows.
