Title: Spacing between top and bottom of bow form
Post by: tecum-tha on April 15, 2013, 11:03:00 PM
How big is the space between bow forms on a one piece recurve bow form (1.5" wide).
Will use Binghams fire hose and metal pressure  strip and 2 heating strips. The fire hose is the variable here. I know thickness of stack/riser and heat strips/metal pressure strips.
Also, what pressure do you typically put on your hose?

1 1/4" between top and bottom of form.

70 psi

At least that's what I do.

X2 what he said tho I have been known to narrow that to 1" at the fades. In my mind it tells me it'll put better pressure on the stack to get better glue lines... But I know the pressure is even in the hose lol.

1 1/4'' and 65psi for me. 1'' at fades couldn't hurt either, sort of agree with your thoughts arrowlauncherj[ what a mouthfull    :bigsmyl:   !]

Does he need to allow room for the 2 heat strips?? 1 1/4" is what I use and I don't use heat strips.

My 3 hoses and plugs came from binghams and are 1 1/2".. a 1 1/2" fire hose overhangs about 1/4" on sides of my 1 3/4" wide forms. I air up hose between 60 and 65psi, pic is of my 1 1/2" wide form    (http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt46/Robertfishes/firstlongbowdryrun.jpg) (http://s596.photobucket.com/user/Robertfishes/media/firstlongbowdryrun.jpg.html)
