Nice clean lines and great tiller.
Nice bow, like the arrow rest inlay.
I guess it's Ok:)
That looks awesome! Did you thin the sapwood at all? I have some red elm I will be getting to pretty soon and was thinking I would just remove all the sapwood - it is very thin and seems brittle, not at all like "regular" elm with thick sapwood.
Thanks guys.
I did thin down the sap wood. I took it down to just one ring. It was really easy to work with, and I'm sure it won't be my last.
Nice looking bow
I really like the way you done the arrow rest. That tiller does look good.
Great bow tiller looks spot on to me. I always heard elm was hard to work down to a ring because of interlocking grain. Just curious cause I have an elm stave and am considering working it down to heart wood.
Red Tailed Hawk - here is a pic while I was working it down to a single ring, if the heartwood is anything like the sapwood it will be easy.
