I used a mix of yellow dye and red to create a unweathered Osage look
 :notworthy: :clapper:
What a shooter! I thought working on my osage stave this evening messed with my eyes when I seen the picture, and put a yellow hue to a hickory board...
and then I read that last sentence. :biglaugh:
Congrats! and superb job!
Nice
Oh man thats pretty, very nicely done--Joe
Nice bow. It sure does look like osage. Good job on the dye
Thanks Brothers,I call it Fauxsage. One capful of yellow mixed with two drops of red. I used the water based dye from T R A. Only issue I had was raised grain from the water based dye. I let her dry well and burnished the heck out if it. 6 coats of min wax clear satin poly, oooo steel wool between coats 3 thru 6. Thanks for the kind words. It means a lot coming from all the talented craftsmen on this site.
Nice bow I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me before I read it looks like osage you did a nice job on it.
Rob
That's nice! I thought you had the wrong pictures posted of an osage instead of hickory :D .

Very nice - looks like it shoots well too. Excellent work.
Very nice, Glen! Love the dye job.
Nice looking bow. I was with everyone else on the color. I thought funny looking hickory but I like the way it turned out.
Sweet looking stick. I really like the dye job.

Thats a real beauty right there. She's sweet.
Love it!
That's a great looking bow brother!!!
But then again, your bows always are :notworthy:
That is one sweet looking bow. I may have to use your dye mixture on one that I am working on right now, if that's ok?
Very nive looking bow and GREAT tiller job
What are the limb widths
Some day I hope to have a hunting bow half that nice.
Looks excellent, great tiller..... Well done!
Death master, the bow is 1-5/8" from fades to mid limb and taper down to 1/2" ,with Osage tip overlays. I reflexed the tips slightly . String stretcher, I would love to see it when it is done. Thanks again guys.
