After shooting this in for a month or so I decided to go ahead and finish it up. 64" ntn, 49# @27. My first erc and first try with sinew. Stained the back with a wine colored stain and the sinew gave it a interesting texture. Belly is not stained has a sliver of heartwood left after tillering. A few pics...

Thanks guys - appreciate the comments. It was a fun one to make.
Cory - it shoots nice. Been shooting it for awhile now - about 18 yards in I can group them pretty well with her. (for me anyway :D )
Here is a full draw pic - talked my wife into going outside since it quit snowing.

That bow has some great character. Great job!
I like that bow. Beautiful.
God damn I love erc
pretty piece of ERC, mostly sapwood, damn get that bow pulled back to 27" :bigsmyl:
JD
Thats SWEET!!!!! I like the belly a lot. In the picture that sinew makes the back like cedar bark.. Well done.
That's a pretty cool looking bow! Nice work!
That is a very nice bow!!!
Thanks fellas! This must of got bumped up when someone asked about the belly for erc. Still my favorite one to shoot. Although I finished a mulberry that I like a lot too!
very pretty bow. sinew backed erc has been tempting me in day dreams recently.
Very nice looking bow. For your next one try a 57" so you get the full potential of the sinew.
Thanks Pat - I have some drying now. I will take your suggestion and give it a try.
Very nice indeed!
Very nice!
