Title: Formica as a bow materail?
Post by: 44charlie on March 08, 2013, 09:43:00 AM
Just because I have it laying around I've put it on a kids bow, but what about for a hunting bow at 45#'s? If you did use it what glue would you use? Tite Bond or Contact Cement?

Thanks Guys

I dont think I would use it cept for putting on the top of forms. Maybe you could use some as an accent strip in a riser. I wouldnt use anything less than the epoxy I used throughout the rest of the bow tho

I played with formica as a bow material in the limbs and they ALL broke. Makes good tip over/underlays and accents in the riser, use epoxy.

I think formica is better left for benchtops and forms
