HH,

Which style of stranded is it.

Don't think I'd try it in a riser. Heavy, but not riser material.

I use it in veneers. The Tiger Bamboo veneers I sell are stranded.

Other than veneers it's too heavy for lams IMHO.

I used some slats cut from woven strand bamboo flooring in a longbow. The bow is still shooting, but the bamboo kept raising tiny slivers that were hard to get rid of. It took a lot of finish to cover them and get it smooth.

this is the woven, the guy makes trim for hardwood floors and stairs, the boards are 7' by 2" by 3/4
he gave me some exotics also said he would save me some others as he used them.
thanks for the info.
it is heavy, I thought maybe accent strips in risers maybe.

It makes some cool veneers , but the grain in what I cut didn't match real well (as in both limbs)

Like Troy said, pretty heavy except thin veneers.....

Chuck,

Stranded bamboo is exactly what it says. They shread the bamboo waste material into strands and then glue it back together to make a bamboo board. Really cool looking in flooring and as with my Tiger Bamboo veneers really cool veneers. Most likely the best natural camo ever. You can get it in solid colors or the blend of natural and tempered. So of the darker colors in the blend may even be stained.
