Hello everybody at the forum!
Has anyone tried to build a Fiberglass - Mollegabet?
Greetings,
Peter
Swissbow did one I believe...run a search
I did one like that three months ago. It's ok for a first try, but I have to make the working section of the limbs a bit shorter the next time.

You need much taper to enable the short parallel working section to bend well, right?
Swissbow, do you have a full draw photo of that bow?
I'll be building one for the Bow Swap, so any info you can provide on this would be much appreciated!!
Hi monterey, here is a full draw pic of the bow

The draw weight is 50@28, the lams have no taper at all and the overall stack is 0.410". The bow has a mild defelex/reflex-profile. The bow is 64" NTN and the riser is 17" long. Here is a pic of the form

To make the ends of the limbs stiff I glued in a 12" wedge that goes from zero to 1.25" in thickness

It's a nice shooting bow, but I think by making the working section about 2" shorter I could make it a bit more performant.

hi swissbow, you say that the tip wedge is one and a quarter inches thick. wow sure doesnt look it in the pics.
i sure like the bow.
well done
Of course you're right, it's not 1.25" but 0.125" thick. Sorry about that one.

Thanks for those stats. It will be helpful when I design the one I'll build.
