Title: wood samples
Post by: Frosty the Bowman on February 03, 2013, 02:51:00 AM
Hey, being as how I am a visual type person, I was wondering where a fella could find samples of bow wood?

I was thinking to myself how cool and helpful for me it would be to be when I have an idea for a build to be able to compare wood samples to see "what looks right".

I looked online, but most seem to be geared towards woods used in furniture building, not bow building.

Just my thoughts, please share yours.

Thanks

Hickory, ash, cherry, oak white and red, and many others can be seen at a decent lumber yard. Road trip time!
