Ive ben working off and on my first take down recurve or any take down for that matter. The next step is to glue the glass on the back of the riser(for the second time LOl!)I used a intertube form the last time and ended up with a crown in the center of the glass due to not putting a pressure strip on top :banghead: .The riser is walnut and curly maple with Brown glass. With bands , you probably need a pressure strip and something down the middle of it to add pressure in center. It works opposite the hose form as it pulls the edges down tight and lets the center bow up.
Lookin good!! Rocky Mt. Recurve replica?
Yep kenny it is a Rocky Mt. Recurve replica.Had some help with specs from some friends on the bench. Thanks guy's.Scott
Apex always used a pc of plastic lattice down the center on his band glueups over the metal pressure strip, he got along real well that way.
