Title: A little Late to ask this....
Post by: gorillabows on January 25, 2013, 07:48:00 PM
Hey Fellas,

I am thinking about putting together a korean replica and really would like to know what are the basic items that I could pick up tomorrow at the KZOO show to get a project started.

I know glue, and I have to put together a form, but in regards to lams and glass backing and everything, do the lams have to be tapered?

And will it really matter if they aren't on my first bow?

Can I get away with buying a couple of bamboo lams and glass for the back and belly and reasonably think that it might turn out?

Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly apprecaited.

thanks,

Joe

Joe, sorry I can't be of much help since I only build self bows at this time, but I will suggest that you do a search on here and other sites for the style of bow you want to build.  You will probably get lots of info.  I would also try You Tube for your search.
