Title: Best way to prevent checking while wood drys???

I have a block of Koa that is still curing, how's the best way to dry and prevent checking? I have it stored in one of my rooms in my house. consistent  temp and RH.  Tony

I like to use a product called anchor seal it is a wax grain sealer

Dip the ends in the anchor seal. Don't think you wanna coat the whole thing,eh?

Actually it depends on the wood some of the really active burls I coat the whole thing since in my opinion slower is better.

On most woods the ends and a few inches down the sides is enough.

Can I buy anchor seal at Home depot, lowe's etc.?
