I have a block of Koa that is still curing, how's the best way to dry and prevent checking? I have it stored in one of my rooms in my house. consistent temp and RH. Tony
I like to use a product called anchor seal it is a wax grain sealer
Dip the ends in the anchor seal. Don't think you wanna coat the whole thing,eh?
Actually it depends on the wood some of the really active burls I coat the whole thing since in my opinion slower is better.
On most woods the ends and a few inches down the sides is enough.
Can I buy anchor seal at Home depot, lowe's etc.?
I get mine at woodcraft or amazon
Thanks guys!!Tony
I bet on burl you need to coat the whole thing!
I'll do that Kenny, Thanks! Tony
