Finished this one up and it's 64" ntn, osage with blacksnake backing, asian buffalo tips, and leather handle wrap. It sports a hand twisted B50 hand twisted flemish sting with mink string silencers drawing 50# @ 28".

Slick Stick Joe. Nice job.
Another very nice looking bow - tiller looks spot on to me! You do awesome work. Maybe some day my tiller will look that good. But then again maybe not :biglaugh:

Looks Good Joe, Like the profile and the tiller looks right on.
I'll have to get some close ups of them, until then.

Find a straight limb or shoot that is big enough to where the pulp has hardened in the center and the heartwood is thick enough on both ends to meet your needs for a walking stick.
Cure the wood like a bow stave and strip off the bark and whitewood. Chasin a ring all the way around the length of the stick makes it much less apt to break.
Mine and the wifes are short thin and light. Mostly used to help with balance and nocking spider weds and such from our path.
I made a heavey duty stick for my brother that had a mud catfish skin handle. And another where I carved in a morel mushroom on the tip above the handle. He is disabled and uses them all the time instead of a cane.
Never thought ot take pic's but I'll try and get some sometime. Gotta couple more ready to work up someday too.
Those are some sweet looking bows.
Rob
Nice simple bow, Joe with just enough make up. The full draw looks GOOD!
Sweet lookin bows you got there pal. I like the looks of that arrow. lol
TC
Looks good to me Joe,
I hope someday to have one done, and have it turn out half as good.
looking at your collection is inspiring, like looking through a catalog of ideas :bigsmyl:
You do great work, oh and it all looks good too! :)
Very nice, Joe.
Looks like you still got it Joe! Like ridin' a bike ain't it bud.
Thanks a bunch guy's.
Most of the bows in that last pic are long gone, given and traded off I'm afraid.
Yes Tony I thought you might pick up on that arrow. Thanks for sending all the arrows that you did. I seem to stay pretty poor in the arrow side of archery....
Thanks again!
 Nice.....
Very nice Joe! The tiller looks perfect to me.
Those are really some great looking bows, I have been planning to make a self bow. This is the year
Looks awesome, Joe! Wish I could get a tiller that tight. The walking sticks look pretty sweet a well. :notworthy: :clapper:
Nice looking bow Joe! Tiller is amazing and that picture of the bows makes me droooooool! I like that one with the turkey feather next to the handle... good mojo for turkey season!
Joe that bow is perfect for this old California guy :)
Very nicely done!!!
:campfire:
Joe
Would you mind sharing the dimensions? I like the looks of those limbs....hows the performance compared to other bows with more of a tapered limb???
Thanks

Glenn
Very nice, neat tips !
Igor, it's just under 1 3/4" at the fades and tappers to 1/2" last 1/3rd of the limbs. The draw is smooth and does not stack at all. To me it shoots fast and hits hard for 50lbs.
Makes me want to drag one of the staves out of the garage and get busy scraping away. They've only been there for three weeks though.. :(
Osagetree very nice collection of work! Like the rack of future bows on the wall. Kind of cool to have a stave saved for a rainy day.
real nice Bro real nice
Thanks for sharing Joe, she is pretty for sure. I really like how the patterns of the skins came through.
Another beauty for sure Tree!
I still have those staves I need to get to you someday.lol
Great looking bow Joe! Tiller looks dead-on.
Very nice!
